(Louisville - KY) Attorney General Jack Conway's campaign for the United States Senate announced today that it cleared the $2 million fundraising marker and holds more than a two to one cash advantage over his primary opponent. Mongiardo still has not raised in nine months what the Conway campaign collected in the first 9 weeks.
The news comes on the heels of last weeks Rasmussen poll that showed Conway in the strongest position to beat both Republican candidates for Senator.
"I'm gratified by the depth of the support for our campaign - the endorsements we've received, the money we've raised and the momentum we have moving forward," said Attorney General Jack Conway. "Kentucky is ready for a Senator who'll hold Washington accountable and get results for people. "
From all public reports, Conway's $2 million fundraising total exceeds all his opponents, Democrat and Republican, by a wide margin. He was able to exceed the $2 million marker in a quarter when he and his wife celebrated the birth of their first child, Eva.
